Searching for Client Profiles

You can search for a client profile directly using Client Quick Find or the client search form (Data > Clients).  Use these commands to make locating the profile much easier. These commands work anywhere that you can look up a client profile (the Client drop-down in the Appointment Editor, for example).

  • Q#, with # being the client's Numeric Identifier defined in the Client profile.
  • *_, with _ being the client's Third Party ID field defined in the Client profile.

Note: For the rest of the search commands below, at least 4 characters are required including spaces and commas.

  • Partial last name and first name, separated by a comma. For example, Sm, J will return all clients whose last name begins with "Sm" and whose first name begins with "J."
  • First name and last name, separated by a space. For example, John Smith
  • First name only.
  • The full phone number, or the last 4 digits of phone number on file. There is no need to enter dashes or special characters.
  • Name (minimum of 4 characters) and last four digits of phone number, separated by a space. For example, Smith 5555 or 5555 Smith.
  • Full email address (this is a full global search)
  • Full phone number (this is a full global search)
  • Client birthday (MM/DD, MM/DD/YYYY, M/DD, M/D, M/DD/YY, M/D/YY). Note that the selected Cultural Settings determine how to format the birthday. For example, the formats just mentioned would be for the U.S., but Canada would use the format DD-MM, YYYY-MM-DD, etc.
  • Gift Card, Package, or Membership lookup shortcut

Locating a profile using Quick Find allows you to quickly:

  • Access and edit a client's profile.
  • Perform appointment-related actions such as check-in or check-out, edit the appointment, print a work ticket, etc.
  • View a client's service history, gift card history, and client visit notes.
  • View past and future appointments.
  • View alerts related to missing profile information.

Note: Quick Find does not include inactive or deleted clients.

What is the Client search form and when should I use it?

To search for a client using reverse look-up (phone number, email) or to search for active, inactive, and deleted clients, you can use the client search form. Use this search method to take advantage of Meevo's Search and Advanced Search features.
