Transferring Package Items at the Register

What happens in Meevo when I transfer (share) a package item to another client?

That depends on how you transfer the item:

Membership Manager: When you transfer a service via Membership Manager, the service is placed on the receiving client's profile and the transferred service is no longer available to the original client. Use this method if the client will not be redeeming the package immediately.

Register: When you transfer an item in the register, the item is placed on the receiving client's Smart Receipt for immediate redemption. The transferred item is no longer available to the original client. Use this method if the client is redeeming the item immediately.

Regardless of how you transfer the item, the following will always be true:

  • The transferred item remains a liability at the original location until it is redeemed.
  • The package price/tips cannot be edited or modified after a transfer, not even during redemption.
  • Pre-paid tips are also transferred, if applicable.
  • If transferring an item between locations, see this article for details on package transfer royalties.

To transfer a package item

You can transfer items from another client's package to the Paying Client on the Smart Receipt. The steps below assume the Paying Client and items to be transferred are already added to the Smart Receipt.

Note: Unlimited services cannot be transferred/shared in Meevo.

  1. In the Smart Receipt, select the item to reveal additional options below it.
  2. Select Search for a different package to use.
  3. On the right pane, select a client from Client Search or scan/enter the package number. A list of available package services for that client appears.
  4. Select the box in the Transfer column of each item you wish to transfer.
  5. Select Transfer on the bottom of the right pane.
  6. The Smart Receipt is updated with the new price and transfer fees (if any).

Note: To cancel transferring the item, remove the Package redeemed line item. This must be done before finalizing the transaction.

  1. When ready, see Finalizing a Sale and Accepting Payment.
