What is a Membership Type?

A Membership Type is a classification of a membership; it is a required field in a Membership definition. Most Membership reports arrange data by Membership Type, so to make reviewing report data simpler, you should apply the same Membership Type to similar memberships. A Membership Type also defines the color of the membership ribbon that appears on appointments.

What does a Membership Type look like in the Appointment Book?

The Membership Type ribbon appears in the upper-right corner of the appointment. In the example below, the ribbon is set to a shade of blue.
